becasue u do not have an acutal gs-r engine , 92 integra was the first year north america had v-tec in their vehicles other the the nsx, if u would really like to know your gsr is actually a b16a1 with higher compression and a raised deck height, longer stroke, and bored ut jsut a little whcih brought it up to a 1678cc engine therefore allowing them to call it a 1.7 liter, if u have a Acura Integra GSR that origanny came with the car, u sire have 1 of 1200 cars built in 1992 or 2400 built in 1993, and no just because your car is called a GSR does not mean u have a GSR engine , becasue the DB2 (thats what u have if its an integra) GSR trim level mean u have that nifty little center console , and a few other things like power windows ,k and a slightly modified b16a1(first gen honda civic sir engine), to answer your exact question the only intake manifold that is not interchangeable is the gsr which is a b18c1 to be exact,
the b17a1 is just a beefed up b16, that sir is why you have a type r intke manifold on your “gsr” engine, want that thing to boogie , toss in a set of Civic type R cams in her and get a tune … hopefully that clears thing up for you a bit
