Got court tomarrow for an inspection. Car wont pass because the ebrake doesnt work (but its an auto so wtf). Need sticker like TODAY! Anybody got a hookup???
Wow simple fix-
- fix e-brake
- get inspected (valvoline or some other quikie joint)
- show receipt to court
yeah they want $170 to do the ebrake and pass me. Fuck that. I don’t have that much cash.

Oh I can do it myself…but I am uber sick right now and I cant even lay down or I start caughing uncontrolably. Respiratory infection > me. Otherwise I’d do it myself. But when I lie down I choke on all the shit in my lungs.

Yeah, why would an automatic need an emergency brake. If your brakes fail at 60 mph you can just throw it in park right?
Anyway, +1 for postpone it. Then stop being a damn procrastinator and get the thing fixed before your next court date. I’m sure you’ve been sitting on this at least 2 months since you got the ticket, plus how ever long you went with the expired inspection before you got caught.

I use Tony’s Roadside by our shop on bullis rd. 99% chance they won’t go for the ebrake.
i didnt think that an inspection ticket was a fix it ticket? arent the laws stricter also on inspection tickets? like the fine increases for every month not inspected.

I’m not sure exactly how it works but I got a ticket for 3 months over due and my insurance company found out about it and made my rates go up $100 a year. I got it because the car was stuck in my garage for 3 months when me tranny blew and I replaced it. If you get it inspected the next day they drop it, but the OBD-II readiness wasn’t passed yet so I couldn’t do it. As soon as I pulled out of my street for the first time after fixing it I got pulled over…
Got the inspection done. The car is fine, other than the e-brake.
