It blows my mind how you do not understand “heat of the moment” and “seeing red” situations. adrenaline kicks in and people go further than they intended to. this doesn’t make them not responsible, no one ever suggested that. But where they intended to just defend themselves from say an attacker they have now killed someone because they just kept swinging and swinging until it ends in a bloody mess and by the time they realize it the attacker is now dead.
