Neil or kordell

Arguing with Cutty regarding sports, especially football, is useless because he is of the belief that he knows everything and everyone else knows nothing.

He is the Quik of Pittspeed Football Discussions.

Not hating, but there is a reason I don’t get into these discussions on here anymore. It’s like arguing with an answering machine.

haha. i like cutty, and i have fun debating sports with people and all, but i will admit he annoys me sometimes. i know me and you have had some differences of opinion on stuff too, but we agree alot also. i dont think ive ever agreed with cutty ever, regarding sports.lol. i just think on this topic its a ridiculous statement to say he was just average last year, yet think he had a good year as a rookie.

don’t you think it would be pretty boring if we agreed on everything. sometimes i’ll just say stuff to spark a debate. sorta like if you are given a topic and you are given the counterpoint, regardless of what you believe you gotta argue for that point.

agreed.

im not agreein with you on the ben thing, but even though i picked o’donnel i do think people short-change kordell and act like they always hated on him, but like you said we all know everyone rode his jock when he first blew up.

that was my whole point from the start. up until the jax game when Gun threw the pick (morgan i still say ran the wrong route) people weren’t that down on him. up until the faggot stuff came out, people weren’t that down on kordell. steelers fans will let one thing ruin a guys career in their heads. what they did to maddox was just sickening… boo a guy on the field but don’t go to his home where his childeren are and do shit.

I dont like either of em. Neil gave the super bowl away, and didnt Kordell get caught suckin some dude’s dick in schenely park a few years ago?

or

agreed.

although when it comes to neil, i can see fans hatin him after the SB. hes still cool though, but ill even admit that i have some hatred after that game. but ya T Gun got alittle mistreated on the field and most definatly off the field.

is that why they called kordell slash? greatest qb of steeler history has to be mark malone… lol.:offtopic:

option 3: Kolar’s aborted anal fetus.

well maddox definitely deserved all of the bad mouthing he got after we lost the jax game because of him smiling from ear to ear after he threw the pick.

No I dont feel he deserved trash dumped on his lawn though, thats childish, but he did deserve the booing

with a more consistant offensive line, Maddox would be an above average QB.

the offensive line practically gave him to the opposing team the last few games he played.

probably because they knew he was an asshole

why would you want your QB to mull over a bad game and have it continue into the next week? he’s a professional. i don’t know how many times i’ve seen brett favre smile after a pick.

Gun threw a pick and it cost us one game in season we went on to win the SB, ben cost a few games with picks and we were a few games short of the playoffs… you do the math.

Neil definetly was the weak link in those steelers teams. i mean he clearly had the best defense and probably the best line of the last few QB’s. kordell had some really shitty lines protecting his ass but on top of that the defense dropped off significantly. the 94 team was the best of the cowher era IMO. to lose to SD the way they did was just clear underachievement.

in the NFL, the best of teams and the worst of teams could win just because of a few lucky plays. Once you make it to the playoffs, its pretty much on the players. The coaches have set them up all season to know what they have to do, in the playoffs they have to make sure they execute.

But to talk trash on the winningest coach in the past 15 years. IN his 15 years, he’s got his team to the AFC Championship 33% of the time. He SHOULD have 2 super bowl rings (if not for Neil). He’s only 50. He’s got a good 15 years left in him if he comes back. He’s on pace to tie Don Shula for winningest NFL coach ever. But he sucks.

i dont know if it was stated but neil had something like the most completions to interceptions or something like that. he was a solid quarterback

exactly and like i said, i wont knock kordell but i think Neil managed the game better and made better choices (except in the SB)

X 80 billion…minuis the SB loss he was one of the most solid QB’s in Steeler’s history

solid for the 10 yard pass.

His consistency was his best trait as a QB. Consistency can go a long way for a QB. Was he amazing…no, but you could rely on him not to throw too many picks (except the SB). Kordell was far from consistent…he was exciting to watch tho
