Yeah, my friend was the passenger in that car which was a GTI. They jumped the median and hit a pickup truck… Then again drinking played a role in that crash…
thats fine but the kid drives a neon he is not exactly a millionare. He lives in lancaster and works in cheektowaga.Thats possibly a 3 hour bus ride.If he has a job that starts at 7 am the bus probably does not arrive in lancaster till 7-8am. So to get to work what are your options? cab? you are talking about alot of money for a five day work week. Cabs are just not feasable. This kid probably has a car payment,car insurance,bills,Now he has lawyer fees lost wages for being court. This is stuff you just can’t give up for 6 months.If thats the case I understand what he did and if I was in that situation i would probably do the same thing.It would not matter for me.If I lost my license I would lose my job.I have grown up alot mostly through this incident. To anyone defending this kid when he didn’t stop to see if they were even alive, fuck that. He deserves everything that’s coming to him for that alone. If he stopped, and made at least the slightest attempt to show compassion, then things would be very different. Karma and justice rarely walk hand in hand, but today they do.
This is such a bullshit case. It would be cool if people such as all of the ones on this site, got together and protested outside of the court room, but that would never happen.
Hell maybe they could change the law to just have the cops shoot anyone street racing, because no one here does it right?

OMG driving with no license. Just for fun, try not driving for one entire weekend. Now imagine doing it for a year+. It would suck donkey dick. Now I’m not saying I would drive with one, but I would probably buy a bike and not register or insure it and just run from the cops, because at this point your already pretty fucked. If I am on my way to work in the morning and a car full of babies crashes into a tanker full of jet fuel, it is not required that I run into the ball of flames and try to save them. Hell if I want to pull over and watch it burn that’s my prerogative.
if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime… if this was his first conviction for something like this then I’d want to give him a second chance. he had that and this time somebody died as a result of his choices.

And when he was INVOLVED in the race, he most certainly is legally required to stop and see what happened, and to call for help if someone that is unable to on their own . It’s called fleeing the scene of an accident. Which is illegal.

It is pretty clear that if the neon driver did not want to race the mustang, the death likely would not have occured, so it is pretty hard to say that the neon driver was not at fault. Kind of like assisted suicide. If I stand next to a guy who is on the edge of a rooftop and tell him he should jump, I am partially to blame.
