A dickhead with a Neon (Or any car for that matter) is a lot different than a well built motor being put to good use that happened to be available in a Neon at one point in time…

That build looks to be well executed.

So no, not mad.

So the shitty part of Neons wasn’t that SRT4 motor…

Actually a very good motor, so as long as he bolted it up to a good transmission, that’s pretty cool

nice! how much do these motors sell for (or cost to build)… knowing this is what makes or ruins the intelligence of this. would be a good candidate for going into an E30

It’d be more ironic if it was a jap motor. ala sr20det

Still, I bet the devoted Ford guys are steaming, so that’s funny

I don’t hate it :shrugs:

Edit: Just scoped out the rest of the pics in the link, and  to fab skillz

The one I put into my '95 was around maybe… $900 or so, with all new OEM parts and a junkyard block and head. Prices went up a little bit since, but it’s still very cheap compared to other motors that will hold the power. That $900 price was for new pistons, rings, rods, oil pump, gaskets, pumps, etc…

yeah… that would work very nicely in an E30.

What’s up with the Dual fuel system? Never heard of that.

I think its pretty cool, I like swaps you don’t see everyday.

That is bad ass. Where is the SHO Camaro?

Someday its 400rwhp be will ripping up the streets

Good 2.3 replacement I bet

What do you do for motor mounts in a case like this I wonder? He looks like he’s using the factory motor mounts on the chassis side, but I am not sure what he is using on the engine itself. It looks like it’s a cast mount, but it’s obviously not from a neon.

need a pump and injectors, finish up wiring, then do heaters?

I love th idea of a turbo 4 in a mustang. It will probably handle great!

For those that did not click the link I recommend doing so. The fab work is amazing!

Slick

I know this is old but… that is really cool. I have an 80’s mustang vert with a 4 cyl… Got me thinking…
