Core Duo 1.83GHz.

The core duo and core solo are the replacements/next gen for the pentium M.

sounds like the win

holy chit that one has a tv tuner built in…

don’t know if they’ll go for that

whatever i get has to run vista

make sure you get at least a gig of ram then

they all suck, since theres no AMD present

AMD in laptops :mamoru:

these are stock toshiba’s buddy

so look again and tell me, exclude the two duo models cause they are HUUUUUGE

Pent-M 760 (2.0GHz), 1024MB (512MBx2), 15.4 WXGA, Int. Graphics, 120GB, DVD-SuperMulti, (802.11b/g), WinXP-PRO, 1-Yr Warr

??? your point?

Hahhaa, Keving gets all butt-hurt when people pick on AMD. They are not quite there with notebook performance IMO, but hopefully soon.

Core Duo FTW!!

thanks

the turion 64 kicks ass in laptops, at least the ones we get here at work. lol yes my ass is sore now. of course they dont play games or anything here.

Get this one Zwarbutt…

Intel Core™ Duo Processor T2500 (1.83GHz, 2MB L2, 667MHz FSB), 1024MB (512MBx2) DDR2 533MHz,17"WXGA+ (1440x900) [Up to 480 Cd/m2 (AC mode), CSV Ultra Bright - 2Lamps], Discreet Graphics, HDD1=80GB (5,400rpm, SATA),HDD2=80GB (5,400rpm, SATA), DVD SuperMulti (+/-R double layer) drive,Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (802.11a/b/g),Bluetooth (v.2.0+EDR), WinXP MCE, 1-yr Warr.

sigh

lol :stuck_out_tongue:

Remind me again why I need 1gb of ram to run an OS layer, just so that I can run a word processor and type a letter?

Actually, AMD processors fair pretty well with extra low power consumption.

It’s just the chipsets that have been the bottleneck.

If those are the only things you want, then I’m almost positive that you can run vista with less (much like shutting down apps in services.msc in XP). No bells and whistles (aka win 2000 style theme), ect.

but then why even bother with vista if thats all your doing? hell, win 3.1 will do that :stuck_out_tongue:

My point exactly. Most people that use computers (barring n3rds) are only surfing the web casually and checking email. MS has gone off the deep end.

are u kidding me?

most ppl only surf the web?, lol dude what about people who actually us pcs to work, design, etc…

at least M$ is releasing new os’ every decade or so, they could of been content with xp and left it at that. new is good sometimes. especially with all its built in security stuff.
