Well I never thought this day would ever come, but the Jeep will be finding a new home today. I have finally come to the bitter realization that by the time I can afford to do what is needed to get her trail ready again, there will be nothing left to her. That on top of the sheer limit of legal wheeling trails in the area has forced me to make probably the toughest decision ever… lol. By the sounds of it, she will be used for her parts then who knows (which is probably what hurts the most). The buyer is coming around 6:30 to pick her up.
As much as it sucks, I know that someday I will be able to start from scratch and build a brand new buggy that will be even more capable. Anyone who knows me knows the sheer amount of blood, sweat, and tears that literally went into building and beating her.
I know most on here could care less, but I know there are some who will probably hurt as much as I do… lol.
I’ll make sure to post up some pics when she leaves as a last and final tribute.
No projects for now. I really need to get a house with a garage b/c it really sucks trying to work on a car in a gravel driveway… lol. Once I get in my house, get my garage all set up, then I’ll probably start on a new buggy.
i know how you feel man, i sold my cherokee a while ago too, it really sucks to see something that took so much work to get to perform like it does, go just like that
some day ill get a yj and start over but right now i gotta get my life started
I def. do but I’m piss poor… lol. The whole reason I’m trying to pay off some debt is to get my credit up and be able to afford a house. And I’m sure that house is a lot more than I’d get approved for anytime soon… lol
No, because even if it never rolled over, I still would be selling it… I would just be getting a lot more for it. lol. One big issue is that there just aren’t enough legal wheeling trails around here so it just sits there rotting away for 360 days a year.
Well I never actually thought these words would ever come out of my mouth, but the Jeep is officially gone :-(. Not gonna lie, I feel like I want to cry… lol. But atleast I know it will be put to good use and not just scrapped. Ended up going $100 less than we agreed b/c the motor did get pretty banged up and will need a little work. She is now property of FNJ INC (fnjinc.com).
