I guess there aren’t too many off roaders here, figured I’d put up a post showing some of the places I’ve gone this year, maybe we can get a picture post rolling along:
Starting at the most recent:
Toys for Tots run in Windber, PA
Heres the campsite hit 24 degrees that nite:
Right before and after I broke my track bar:
Couple of Guys from Chester, WV I go wheeling with and ended up riding with after I broke:
This was up in toronto ohio at a place called cable creek:
thats some wheelin for sure, i tend to play in woods but nothing that hardcore. this year we went to YankeeLake in ohio. thats a good place for you to take jeep next year.
i need more aggressive tire and little more lift before i do anything more then the trails i go on
defintely will, everyone is rebuilding over the winter including me
thanks
honestly, a lot of the stuff I go on is a little on the wild side but a lot of those trails have bypasses for the hard stuff, I’ll send you a pm if you ever want to come out. I ran 35’s this entire year and I was on the small side
same deal, there are always bypass trails, you defintely want a tire better than a street tire, even if its a bfg at, I ran those on my old wrangler and they did great, ask guffy haha
good bump stops and A LOT of cutting in my future, plus I’m moving the 44 back a few inches to accomodate the monster rubber. I’ll make 5.5 inches of lift work
I’ll let you know, I always need someone to hold me beer while I’m trying obstacles
heres a combination of pics from some trips to connellsville, this is probably one of the easier sets of trails out there, any tires bigger than 33’s and you’ll be bored most of the day
and a couple more from an earlier wellsville/yellow creek run we had:
post some pics up, I’m trying to get this forum started again!!!
I honestly wouldn’t waste your time on pittsburgh offroad, that board is full of a bunch of people who talk a big game but never do anything. Do yourself a favor and go else where
I love that orange 4runner. Most of the places you guys go, are they state run parks, private property, tresspassing, or what? Those look like some awesome trails.
The wanker who had it before me must have like aluminum/chrome on Jeeps.
I just had my dad order me the Smittybuilt Rock sliders poweder coated black for the sides, and I am painting the grill inserts black as well. It will make a HUGE difference on the way the HEEP looks.
Other than that the major mechanical issues have been taken care of. The last stop will be to Jtech for front U-joints.
January and February will be a 4" lift and 33/12.5 BFG Mud tires.
Why did I sell my Maxima and 350Z for this thing again?
I love it!
Am on jeepforum (Huge info. site), backwoods jeep club, and Jeep Heritage site from Pittsburgh. Need to check out 4x4pirate.com.
