Yes with how modified that car looks…EM is a must.
ya if its in the intake its freeze the bulb when the air passes over it, the air will be cold… it doesn’t spray into the intake
how does that water sprayer work for ya?:wackit:
if you are running the stock turbo you definitely dont need a front mount. although with a front mount you must run a aftermarket BOV.
and if you dont have EM get it A.S.A.P.
plus you definitely need to get a mod list from the original owner and post it here.
Sorry I havent gotten to write back, i have been out beating the crap out of this thing. I found a few things about my car. The CO2 tank is actually for the Cry0 injection i have for my intercooler. I noticed that there are steel braided lines connected to my intercooler pipe. I need to get some more CO2 though. Anyone know where I can buy some? Or get this tank filled?
Is there still a Subaru meet?
Yeah at the Robinson Quaker steak and lube the first wednesday of the month. normally people get there around 6.
yea once i get my parts installed on my car ill be heading out to robinson hopefully next month.
ya i still need to make it to one of these meets.
Ok, I had someone test drive my car to see what he thought was wrong with that lagginess of the turbo. His guess was with the fuel system. He said there isnt enough gas being supplied at the higher RPMs. Could be that the previous owner upgraded the injectors, but didnt upgrade the fuel pump? What do you think?
that could be but do u have any kind of EM?
that is a definite possibility did you check? the previous owner should have installed a walboro fuel pump. you really need to get a detailed list of mod’s from the previous owner that way we can help you pin point the problem.
Engine management? I have a Apexi boost controller. Its like a small, silver, pen thick controller that I can control a/f , 02, batt, and time. He said it doesnt work though. One reason he thought that, is when I shut the car off, i have the timer on for 1 minute, but it still turns off immediatly.
He did recommend a Walboro pump. Hows the difficulty level on that replacement? Or that a job for a pro.
are you talking bout the TURBO TIMER???
how much boost are you seeing?
fuel pumps aren’t that bad of an install. Just take the back seat out, and there is a panel on the floor that exposes the gas tank. Just don’t spill any or blow up.
o god get rid of ur boost controller and look into gettin a Access Port or some kind of EM. U really need a detailed list of what was done to the car and what he removed before he sold it to u. Like if he had a access port he might of uninstalled it and sold it cuz thats easy as 10 mins to do. Find out what turbo upgrade u have if any
yea if your not running any type of engine management you are definitely doing damage to your engine.
I am boosting around 15psi. I have a greddy BOV on there now. Should I adjust the spring so its letting more out or keeping more in?
Also, I saw a picture of this girl’s STI in SubieSport magazine and she had the outlet of the BOV thats supposed to be going to the intercooler capped. Any reasons behind that? Better Sound?
Does anyone hang out on the east side of pittsburgh? Monroeville? Waterfront? I would like to have someone that knows what they are talking about look at the car. Last time someone took a look at it, they didnt tell me anything i already knew, which isn’t much when it comes to turbochargers.
boosting 15 psi is fine im boosting around 15.9 with turboback exhaust and uppipe.
I havent seen the latest issue of subiesport so im not exactly sure what you are talking about in regards to the cap’d BOV.
I took the one hose off, and the blow off is much louder, im not sure if its effecting my boost or not. TeamWRX, what do you think about Accessport? Worth the 600 bucks? I did a lot of reading on it, and i just hope its easy for a turbo noob like me.
