WRX leaking oil? Now that can't be possible..

One of my friends gave me a call today, looking for some help.

2002 Subaru WRX :

Leaking oil from “under the turbo”…I was hoping someone here could give input
as this seems as though it might be a common issue from daily wear and tear.

The car has all your run-of-the-mill boltons :
+TBE + Uppipe
+Cobb stgII (19lbs w/MBC, no stock EBCS)
+EBAY TMIC

Other shit im sure, you get the idea. Its a 90k mile car pushing the original
turbo and there is a leak somewhere.

Im going to look at the car sometime this week, any help as to things to
look at + threads/pics are much appreciated.

If you saw a thread on NASIOC or any other forum, post the link!

.

ummmm return line

quite possibly the head gaskets as they poor oil from there , oil return pipe is another common leak

so many possibilities that this thread is a waiste, but I agree with german psi, probably the oil return line.

Isn’t this normal for a WRX? The consensus is that they are highly unreliable, similar to the craftsmanship of Joe Jiggs, for example.

my return line leaked sounds like the culprit

return line. Culprit to many oil-run-low blown suby motors. Buy some high temp double wall line. ATP sells it amongst other places if you don’t feel like buying it in bulk. I have some here, but most is spoken for for other subarus.

Also possibly that the stock feed line finally cracked. Another common problem. Replace with braided substitue if so.

mike with the blue wrx wagon ryan?

Thanks for the help guys

The only experience ive had with this type of problem is when
I did a AVCS/return line on a STi’s VF3x. Shit was cracked at 40k miles…:wtf

Nope, its another friend of mine that has a wrb bugeye sedan
