Its been too long since Toyota even thought about production sports cars.
They also need to think about bringing back the Supra, but this will definitely be a welcome addition to the tuner community. I would rather pick up a RWD Toyota over a Hyundai any day.
Not saying that the Hyundai isn’t any good, just would prefer this if they actually go through with it.

I’m on the fence about it, hate the interior. Its like it says it will be north of 20,000 but that is endless north of 20,000 could mean 80,000 and end up getting a Lexus badge on it.

The Toyotabaru looks pretty awesome from the back, kinda Celica-ie from the front… 50/50 on that. The interior looks pretty interesting lol
As for real cars, I think the Genesis Coupe is nice. A little plain looking but it works.
i KNOW that when you come out with a new car, you have to make it different than the previous models, and im sure a lot of other people agree that they’re just getting too bulky + alien looking. 20" rims basically come standard on all of them and they all have all these weird ass body lines.
It might seem weird now, and not in like 20 years, but i still love the designs of cars from the 90’s the best (fd3s, s14, etc…). They were small, nice lines, and didnt have that “spaceship factor” that im seeing more everyday in all these newer cars…

Honda’s entry into the competition(no but I like):
It only has 100hp (1.4L 4cyl)… I think they should really bring this to NA though, I saw a few on the road in Rome last Christmas (not Type R) and I think they look nicer then the sedan/coupe version (as always,IMO)…

Did I love the 370Z and did it KILL anything that I could build for under $50,000, absolutely!!! Did it have the same appeal to me at all? NOT AT ALL!!! It felt too refined and docile, even though it wasn’t. It was an animal, it just didn’t feel like it.
I like old school styling and feel. I like the way I FEEL everything. I drive a Datsun 510 the other week. I liked that more than any S13 I’ve driven.
FC’s are still my favourite chassis in the whole wide world…
If you were to give me all the money in the world to build a few Japanese cars, it would be an FC, a Silvia, a Hachi, a MK3 Supra, an R32 GTR, a Eagle Talon (not an Eclipse, styling reasons 
), Z30, Datsun 510, Datsun 240z, R30 Skyline, Honda Beat, 1991 Honda Civic Si, Mitsubishi Galant. These are my fave Jap cars and would build all of them over any late model car offered. I’ve previously owned and loved all of them except the Datsuns, the R30, and the Beat. Would do it again in heartbeat.
Domestic cars? Fox body mustang, Cobra, El Camino, Omni GLH, Chevette, Gremlin and that’s all.
I heard the new civic gained 1 hp and gained more weight and the old hatch back is way faster…
