yea this should be really nice, i heard Toyota and Subaru are going to be making 3 classes of sports cars. ft 86 and the brz is one of them and their bringing back the supra as well. These guys are doing it up in a big way.

So did the 240sx when it came out, and the Miata doesn’t exactly look like a luxury car either. It’s a sub-$30k sports car. It looks like one.
Personally, I think it looks decent, and yes once people start putting rims and lowering I suspect most of the people that are knee-jerking towards not liking it are a) jealous because it’s still out of their reach, or b) think that every Japanese sports car should come from the factory “JDM-tyte” and slammed with oversized rims, and will likely change their tune once they see a few that’ve been personalized… Gonna go out on a limb and say that the engineers they pay hansomely to design these vehicles probably have a better idea of how to make it perform better than you. And still get acceptable mileage and last more than 30,000km without requiring assloads of maintenance or replaced parts. Remember, this is a new, stock, factory vehicle. It’s designed to be driven every day and last for more than 100,000km. It’s the car that all you people have been whining about getting since you picked up your first rusted out 240, and you’re still not happy.

Glad to see RD money going into things other then electric cars and prius’. Especially when its all about profits and penny pinching these days. no doubt this will be a great platform!
I think it looks great. It’s a Toyota so I’m sure they quality will be pretty good as well.
Someone comes up with a small rear wheel drive car, that’s a throw back to what we all love.
