So, this is hardly new, but I don’t get around to taking photos too often. I sold my FC in August, but picked this MR2 up in like May, haha. It’s a 1993 Toyota MR2, very low miles (~110K), all stock, original, never modified, with the exception of a nice JVC head unit, which I had to install the right way. Thankfully, no wires were cut, it’s all clean.
All it needed was a little TLC, and I pulled the whole interior out for a thorough check and cleaning of everything. All was well, unmodified, and everything cleaned and put back together. I also spent a lot of time hand rubbing the car (3M compound) and polishing it. Also, I pulled all the wheels off, spent about an hour cleaning each one, and then repainted them. Made a huge difference. Overall, it’s been very well maintained. I just had Jason at Blackforest (Great job Jason, they balanced perfect) mount my near new Blizzaks on the OEM wheels. I’m all ready for winter now! Here’s some shots of it:
It’s hardly what I’d call mint. Believe me, it didn’t look nearly this nice when I acquired it. I saw the potential in it though, and wanted to make it as nice as I could, and I’m happy with where it ended up. It was also driven last winter by the previous owner. Plus, it’s just a car, and my other ones are way nicer. It’s not the last MR2 I’ll own either, I’m sure…no big deal. Use them or lose them, right?
Yeah I guess I agree with you on that one, some cars are just too fun not to drive. Im driving my 5.0 back and forth to class still and im going to continue as long as the snow holds off im trying to roll 100,000 this week I only have 70 miles to go, then my odometer resets to zero lol. I guess if you got a deal on it hell why not drive it into the ground and have fun while you do it.:burnout:
Painted them the stock color. Glad you can’t tell! The red doesn’t bother me too much, although I prefer the Crimson red to the Super red. Then again, a '93 is better than a '91, so…I can deal.
