New Digital Camera. Which one?

So I will be buying a new digital camera in the next couple of days and I am having trouble selecting one.

Basically I am looking for 5 megapixel, manual controls, lithium ion battery, and 2.5" LCD, and overall good picture quality.

I’ve been looking at the:
Canon PowerShot S80 - very nice but expensive
Kodak EasyShare Z760 - seems to be the best choice so far
Sony DSC-W7 or W5 - heard some bad things about it from a few people

Does anyone have any other suggestions or can you recommend one of the aforementioned digi’s?

Let me know. Thanks.

Canon is by far the leader in digi-photo technology.

Definitley worth the extra money.

^Word on that…

the color produced by canon cameras are so far the nicest one i know…

more over, the flash light produced by canon cameras are top notch…

i just bought one of these. it only cost me $300 and it has everything your looking for. the battery is still on its original charge from almost a month ago, the 1 gig xd memory card holds more pictures than anyone in their right mind could take, the 2.5" LCD is very clear and easy to see, and my favorite part is that it is very slim in profile and isnt a pain in my ass to carry around with me…it will easily fit in your pocket. i give it 2 thumbs up.

Canon all the way. I have been using Canon since before most of you were an itch in your dad’s pants.

If you can, save up alittle more and get a Canon 20D.

If you can’t get the other Canon.

I was also checking out the Canon A620? I think. It seems to have everything I am looking for other than the rechargable batteries.

me likey this kodak, good zoom, 5 mega pixel is all you really need unless you are taking HUGE pictures

Thats one of the best sites for reviews, best thing to do is go take a look at them at bestbuy and get a feel for them. Then go online and buy what you like for $100+ cheaper.LOL

Yeah I went to Best Buy yesterday and looked. A couple of the cameras on my short list had to be nixed because they didn’t perform as I liked. I’ll have to keep looking.

Anymore suggestions?
