i am wondering what the best brand digital camera there is to get? i have had a 5.0 mp sony camera for a couple years now, and im not really happy with the purchase. how’s HP and Kodak? i may decide to get a new one in the near future.
hp and kodak are both crap for the most part… depends what you want out of the camera… and who’s using it.
all brands have crap, decent, and good models.
i’m partial to canon and nikon
My parents have a Kodak. They’re super easy to use. It’s great for people that don’t want to fuss, however it doesn’t take the greatest photos. 75% are great. Just fantastic. The other 25% are skewed toward the bluish end of the spectrum. It’s not a big deal. My cannon takes better photos, but sometimes it skews toward the redder side.
canon /end thread.
^ this monkey sells cameras fo a living so yeah /the end
Cannon/ Nikon
I should say–I’ve been looking into Panasonic’s point and shoot line up. I think that will be my A75’s replacement.
Anyway, this is from my parent’s Kodak C330. It’s a good gift camera. You know, something anybody can say “Oh a camera.” My mom is great with computers, but she hates having to play around with things. And if the pictures turn out bad, at least they know right away and can take another. It’s the best gift I’ve given them. This is going so off topic–but now I can secretly edit the pictures and have them printed, buy a frame, and bam-- x-mas present. And with their cottage going up, they’ll love having some 8x10’s on the wall of pictures from their trips.
Imagecave “optimizes” the photos for some strange reason. They actually aren’t grainy. Kodak also had prints to us in 3 days.
So the verdict on Kodak would be: great digital camera for somebody used to crappy disposables. Otherwise, there are better alternatives if you want to spend more money.
I like the sony 7.2 mp camera…i know sombody who has…er had one till it was stolen, very good zoom, the digital zoom on the pics that were stored in memory was amazing…although its also an $800 camera.
nikon for teh win
memory stick = poop
Canon, Nikon, Minolta
in that order…everything else is crap
FujiFilm = good in my books. Great camera.
Just my .02
Preach on brotha…
I am die hard Canon after owning several, and several Nikon’s as well…
im looking for a camera thats not gonna be used for photography or anything like that. i have a sony cybershot dsc-p10, and like i said above, im not too happy with it. a lot of the photos that i take come out too blurry. im just looking for a nice, like 5.0mp camera. im looking into the canon’s, and i saw this one on ebay:
i figure that one would be a nice one to pick up. the zoom seems about standard, so i dont have a problem with that. i just want a camera where the pictures dont come out blurry. thought? thanx
meh i would get an SD400, a lil thinner and better looking camera. Also the SD400 has a better macro lense then the SD500, but the sd500 has a more of a dof lence. really depends on what you want. but again id sugget the sd400. i can get you one around the same price.
how much could you get me an sd400 for?
250-260
got any deals on getting any memory cards with the camera?
we got a 1 gig sd for sale for $40 after rebates
edit and im currently sold ou on the sd400’s we will get some in soon.
i just got a fujifilm finepix 6.3mp… it was a present, but i think it ran like $350/$400? not too sure… i could not be happier with it. 2in lcd screen, 4xoptical zoom, 6.3xdigital zoom… takes videos… awesome night shots… macros…
i took these in the lowest quality setting [16mb card > me]
not too shabby if ya ask me
