Good writeup, however, I disagree with this statement:
This is a very unique hand crafted high quality piece and is well worth the money, this is not some prefab vacumn formed plastic piece that the competition is coming out with, you know the saying, you have to pay to play and you get what you pay for!
Chances are a well designed plastic part would be superior to a welded aluminum intake.
It may not be as aesthetically pleasing, but it’d probably be/have:
Lighter
Lower thermal conductivity
Smoother transitions
There really aren’t any performance advantages to having an aluminum intake over a well designed plastic one.
Though that’s not to say this isn’t an improvement over stock…

Yes, a nice plastic piece with a fluid design for smooth airflow = best.
