you should take random, high resolution texture shots. Like the side of that building for instance could turn out to be a really neat base texture for 3d modeling
edit2: actually, if you don’t mind… do you have a high res shot of that photo? i wouldn’t mind trying to re-make it (of course if you don’t mind that is)
well that all depends. There are alot of texture resources online that are royalty free, but most of them are just a base texture and alot of them aren’t all that great.
If you took your time and made nice, high res textures that were straight (alot of times with photographs, they’ll tend to be slightly skewed/turned because of the angle the photo was taken) and included normal map/bump map layer via photoshop, you’d probably make some decent $$$
probably even more so if you actually created material libraries (it’ll hold all the texture info… size, scale, tiling, specularity, bump, diffuse, ect) in 3dsmax and exported them for sale.
As you can see… some nicer textures, such as the wooden crate which has a height map included, is going for 20.00 a pop. Alot of businesses in the 3D design/animation business will use these in projects along with some made in house.
not sure if you can sell through them… and take a cut or what, but you may want to try advertising at a 3D modeling forum and ask artists what they’re looking for. Then just sell them via your own website.
