new golf R???

Saab 92x > any wrx.

i like the older ones. performance and looks. plus they cost alot less. more $$$$ for mods.

maybe if you get the base model wrx with no options… a fully loaded wrx limited is over $37,000

lets say the wrx cost $35k but you didnt have the cash up front so add in some interest. how much are you paying for a 2013 wrx? lets say 48month loan.

lmk if you can do some math

go to a subaru dealer and ask for the price on a fully loaded wrx. who wants a new car in a base model? the base of the base is $26k. it can hit over $37k for full options. tax, dealer fees, warranty add more $$$

then after you see the price call your bank up and ask what the best interest rate is. see what you can afford monthly and add up the total cost of that $20,000 wrx. say about 3%-5% over 48months is $$$$

you will see where i got my numbers from. as most people dont take cash from their pockets and buy a $30,000 car the interest hits your pockets too.

3rd gen subarus suck imo. when considering $$$$$ to the car its not a deal.

2004 sti is a great car for americans. i think 04 and 05> 08-13

i perfer a 1995 impreza l with a swap. in NY

oooo and i drove a 2013 sti and i was not impressed. i would think years of research and devlopment the car would be alot better. then considering the cost. car sucks

also from my understanding the older sti’s are faster around a track than the new models.

if you like emo paints, better radio, new seats, high insurance and car payments the new wrx is for you.

subaru’s best years were WRC. they used the better models of the imprezas. the 2008+ body has a inferior rear suspension.

ask Prodrive if the 2008+ subaru is a upgrade or a downgrade to the earlier models. they have first hand exp racing and upgrading.

until you have to replace body parts. lmao

but i like the looks too

You are fucking nuts. I was just at a Subaru dealer last night picking up my new car. And when I was originally browsing, they had one STi for 38K and any of the WRX’s I saw were in the upper 20’s and they weren’t base models.

Your numbers are still way off. Not by hundreds, by thousands.

call me any name you like. doesnt do much. showing me some info that would be a better approach. dont say i saw this or that.

thats subaru website. build a wrx and add every option. you will be surprised what the final cost is.

Pitman knows all once again!! Don’t challenge him usmc, you must be crazy…lol

no i dont know everything… wish i did…

i will try to be the first one to reply once theres some misleading info.

i enjoy a challenge too. never take anything i say and automatically think thats right. take my statement and find out for yourself whats correct. everyone can be wrong. anybody could have the right answer too.

i find your posts amusing and i laughed alot. thanks

Who pays MSRP?

Interest isn’t thousands upon thousands on a new car that’s $27k. Plus rates are pretty low at this time. Like 0%-3%.

And a base wrx isn’t like a base Kia from 2000. Its pretty loaded. I’d prefer a base wrx with no sunroof or navi.

A fully loaded WRX Limited w/ nav costs $31,105 MSRP. You’re adding all of those stupid little accessories to get your “37k”.

Also, trying to add in interest rates on a new vehicle (which are almost always lower than rates on a used vehicle) is also a moot point considering interest rates are almost entirely credit based and turns this into an apples to watermelons comparison. Yes, watermelons, because this has been so blown out of proportion.

According to Yahoo autos, the invoice cost on the same vehicle listed above is $29,247.

Tax on that is less than $2,400. Warranty? It’s included in the price, unless you’re one of those people who purchase an extended warranty.

So out the door, you’re looking at less than $32k. So yes, you were off by thousands of dollars on your little guesstimate. You’re also comparing a fully loaded 2013MY vehicle to that of a used 1993-2001 vehicle with God knows what for options.

As much as I love having a 3rd pedal. The specs in this article mated with DSG would be a pretty damn fun car.

i know you sell cars so you would understand this question.

that navigation comes from same list as the rest of the options… or what you call accessories.

so why is a gps a option but a subaru performance exhaust a accessory? i think the carbon fiber add ons is a option too. but you think its a accessory?

if i add up the cool options/accessories subaru offers with the wrx you get over $37k think of intrest and tax then you have a $40k wrx if you choose all the options

Options/packages are added at the factory, accessories are added at the port/dealership.

But you’re still comparing apples to oranges. Last I knew, there was no such thing as a used car factory that can build you a GC8 Impreza with all of those cool little accessories, options, and other stuff you feel so inclined to add to the brand new WRX in a mediocre attempt to prove your point.

And again, you’re adding interest as a variable… What if they get 0% because they have stellar credit? You’re reaching way to far to try to prove anything. What’s next? Going to factor in the DMV fees or the NYS $12.50 fee for disposing of tires?

shut the fuck up pitman holy shit

:rofl thank you!!
