I sorta see what you’re saying, but it’s not really a pussy transmission… You’re probably confused with the automatics that have paddle shifters to make people feel good about themselves. This is an actual manual transmission, just sequential, with no clutch pedal. There are two clutches, one for odd, one for even gears, and it pre-engages the next gear for you, to give you better shift times. Then when you’re down shifting, it blips the throttle for you to give you a perfect rev-match. Can you rev-match perfectly? I can do a really good job of it, but there are quite a few times where I’ll blip the throttle a bit more than is needed and screw it up. F1 drivers use this system, so I figure, if it’s good enough for them, it should be good enough for me.
