New GT-R production model pictures

For all those who haven’t seen the production model pictures yet…
Twin turbo V6

Theres something simular about the side view that looks like the the last generation.

340km/h damn, it better not have a 190 govener

whats with this automatic bizness… tisk tisk

the dash is too clustered from driver point of view but all around its a nice car, i bet that bitch hauls ass anyway

Beautiful definatly gonna try to save for this beast…zo6 eater.

It’s not an auto, it’s a two clutch manual, same dealy as the Audis.
It’s a pricey-ass car, that looks so-so, and I’ll most likely never afford one, but I love it more than anything in the world. I’ve always been very passionately anti-domestic, and the GT-R is the STFU that GM has been begging for ever since the new C6 Vette was released. Yea, it’s a great car, but I’m so sick of everyone sucking GM’s cock over it. They make awful pieces of shit, and shouldn’t be getting all this credit for making one car right. Nissan finally delivered

Yeah Z06 isn’t even in the same class. This is a Supercar look at the company it keeps on the Nurburring lap times:

not too sure about the looks yet…will have to see one in real life…

however I doubt it would beat the current generation Z06…in its current format…

should be a neat car though with the AWD

You might want to read the numbers again, the GTR has also beat the Z06 by 7-seconds on the Nurburgring…despite being 700lbs heavier and made of metal not plastic.

Z06
3100+lbs
505hp/470lb-ft
0-60 mph 3.5 sec
Quarter Mile 11.5 sec @ 127.1 mph
Braking, 60-0 mph 104 ft
Lateral Acceleration 1.05 g avg

(manufacturer claims, magazines tests not as good across the board)

GTR
3800+lbs
473hp/433lb-ft
0-60 = 3.5
Quarter Mile = 11.7
lateral g = 0.99
top speed 310km/h

GTR > c6 z06 anyday.

Then there is this tiny adjustment made on turbo cars for a thing called boost.

Whats gonna happen when TOP SECRET gets around to this…

Well Vlad, we’ll be seeing insane, possibly Buggati Veyron type top speed numbers!

honestly, my respect to the Corvette C6 ZO6, the new Skyline GTR should give a nice run…it will most likely out handle it, but in the end…stock on stock the Corvette should provail in the power segment, where acceleration and top speed matter.

Can’t wait for Best Motoring to make it happen, an all out Super Car Battle! XD
this skyline looks heavier but as with the trend of newer cars, they look bulkier, but seems like Nissan is in the run for Japan SuperCar…Toyota’s got the Lexus LS - F, and Honda’s got the NSX…

Sure great though to know there’s powerful TURBO engine coming specially designed for the GTR, wonder what the potential it will bring in the future…

i wonder if someone will try swapping that motor into a 240.

I understand why they offer this new pussy transmission because it gets good times on the track and all the rich pricks who can’t drive will feel like men with it (it’s misleading).

But why don’t they have an option for a real manual tranny (the non-penis lenghtening type)??? Even if they don’t make many, at least have it available.

If I had the money, I would buy a Z06 only because you can get a third pedal.

I sorta see what you’re saying, but it’s not really a pussy transmission… You’re probably confused with the automatics that have paddle shifters to make people feel good about themselves. This is an actual manual transmission, just sequential, with no clutch pedal. There are two clutches, one for odd, one for even gears, and it pre-engages the next gear for you, to give you better shift times. Then when you’re down shifting, it blips the throttle for you to give you a perfect rev-match. Can you rev-match perfectly? I can do a really good job of it, but there are quite a few times where I’ll blip the throttle a bit more than is needed and screw it up. F1 drivers use this system, so I figure, if it’s good enough for them, it should be good enough for me.

I know what it is, and it’s not a manual transmission, it’s an automated manunal transmission.

On a street driven car, I don’t care about 0.000000000000000001 second gear changes and perfect rev matching and slick steering wheel paddles. On a street car I want fun and no clutch pedal = no fun.

This is like the M3 with the SMG tranny. It was suppose to be this amazing transmission with lightining fast gear changes and all that crap, what happened? Everyone who knew how to drive standard went out and bought a manual M3 and all the poser pussies went out and bought the SMG and complained about how the automatic mode was rough and clumsy.

Like some guy said on another forum, I don’t want a car that knows how to drive better then I can.

Can I ask a really stupid question?
Why no inline 6 anymore?

Orly? What can you do with a clutch that you can’t with the SMG tranny? You can ride the clutch and burn it out (good job), you can drop the clutch at higher rpms to do a launch (which launch control will do better than you anyway), or you can do clutch kicks to get your back end loose, which is debatable, some like to drift, others don’t.
I wouldn’t get an M3 with an SMG tranny, because it’s a $10,000 option or some shit like that, but no sense complaining about getting it for free on the Skyline.

I want to use the clutch pedal when I switch gears, I wanna have to move my feet around, I wanna move the shifter with my hand.

Personally, I have the most fun just running up and down the gears with a clutch pedal and actual shifter. I don’t understand why you didn’t mention this part, it’s the best part of having a manual tranny.

I wanna be able to drive the car to the best of my abilities, not to the best of the car’s abilities.

The new GT-R is made for people who can’t drive or for fast track times, it has nothing to do with a good driver trying to enjoy himself.

so when will the GTR finally come to north america?
