Macedon, is like 20min east of Rochester. I should just say I live in Rochester. No one ever knows where Macedon is heh.

No. I really dont like those much. They arent configurable at all, and everything is pre labeled etc

I made this harness completely from scratch. It does everything from the lights and body wiring, to my gauges, relays for everything, connections to a switch panel for my center console and PLX R-500 interface etc.

The fuse boxes and relays and relay sockets all came from Waytek wire.

I bent up the panel here at work and just spray bombed it black.

I also found new metripak pins for the factory connectors I had to use, mainly just those at the colum. This way I didnt have to solder and splice any of the wires.

Dan

nice to see some fresh ideas/work.

where did you get the wire through? do you have a good source? I need to rewire my E30, but not much is actually needed.

also, i nosed around the Waytek site (also digikey), but was unable to find those fuse blocks, do you have a link?

The wire came from Waytek. I bought about every color of 18awg automotive crosslink wire. I think the 250ft rolls were 12-13 bux each. Im always wiring something up so I was ok having some extra.

Fuse box http://order.waytekwire.com/CGI-BIN/LANSAWEB?WEBEVENT+L0C8A681650E08400125F092+M37+ENG

You need to order the sockets separatly for it. Since in the back you actually attach the fuse socket directly to the wire. Its about as factory style as I could find. The only bitch is they are pre config’d for 6ckts and 14ckts on two separate busses. Youll see that soon enough tho.

Dan

ah crap.

That link doesnt work.

The p/n is 46074

Dan

I’m impressed by the work that goes into your projects. But the color scheme makes me think “If PeeWee’s playhouse had a car…”

so is that why you have two of them? so you can have 4 separate busses?

One constant, one ACC, on ON, then one left over?

Or combine the two 6 circuits so you have 3? A pair of 14 circuits and one 12 circuit?

Nice work but the 91 cavy doesnt do much for me as a platform, either do you interior/exterior color schemes.

Oh and newman you can get wire spools at harbor frieght for cheap.

Mike,

Ya, the yellow blows I know. Im so sick of it myslef.

When it comes out in spring its going to be black or silver in place of yellow. The wheels are already black. Im going to change the checkers on the side to black and either just pull the cage out for now, and/or spray it silver or flat black.

All the yellow crap in the motor and interior will be gone etc.

I think everyone, including myself will like it alot more whenever the F it rolls back out. Probably when McQuillens gets my motor back together. That cant happen until after he grinds the blank for my new cam and Comp actually grinds it. And they modify the lifter bores to fit the new keyed lifters. ugh

newman,

As for the fuse boxes, I am using two banks for constant, one for ignition, and one for accessory.

Dan

 Glad the yellow is going away.

I have had this car since 92 (my first car actually). There is alot of stuff left over from my young and stupid days…

Here is my MS paint version of the car with no spoiler and black checkers. Notice the wheels are already black.

Visualize no yellow…
