New house. Time to do some exterior updates. Thoughts on color idea?

Hey all,

I’m looking for some opinions. I’m getting a new roof this month in Black. We’re going to re-paint the house this spring/summer, as soon as it’s warm enough.
We bought the house last year, so it’s time to do something about the bland single-color…

Using an online tool, I was able to do some before/after ideas. This was the one we liked the most. Thoughts?

Here’s the Before/After possibility…

That Salmon/Red is terrible

I kinda like it :gotme:

You wood.

Get it…

It’s more of a Dark Terra Cotta / Mahagony look. No Pink… more red/brown/orange in color. Do you like Red, but not THAT red?
We were going for the HGTV Red that they always show. It’s not quite red… and I can’t find the color listed ANYWHERE on their sites. (jerks)

We’re limited to house colors by the bricks on the front. They’re also on the side of the garage by the front door, that’s also all brick (can’t see in the photos)

Appreciate the feedback either way.

I dont like any shade of red with the tan trim and brick color. I think if I was looking to buy a house, I would see that and think, I wish it was more neutral.

I might like a greenish color better. I might like stripping the paint and going with a nice stain.

I think your house with its design features is meant to be all neutral colors…brown shingles…earth tone wood…tan trim…brick

Hmm… a green, eh? How’s this? Sage.

I also did the side view with a brown roof…

Sadly, the whole house is just plain earth tones now and it feels really boring and dull. When we bought it, even the garage was pink. It just feels horrid… ha

Darker IMO

More hunter or evergreen

I think that would give the house some depth

The roof has to stay black (arlready ordered), but here’s what it looks like with green.

From the side, I like this as well. From the front, I’m not too sure with the bricks. Thoughts?

Its not 100% what I would do, but its 1000000% what I would do over red.

There are also a lot of masonry paints/sealers as well to to eliminate the brick color

I’d do it a couple shades darker than it currently is.

Interesting. I didn’t think of that… here’s what it could look like with a darker tan/brown. Thanks.

have you considered a Trump theme?

Nah, less brown. More gray. More taupe.

Anything but that red…

Darker green one is the best so far. Although in the gray direction might be a better idea.

X…

Try Behr Porpoise

Im always a fan of something more neutral. Shades of gray or blue with even some greens sometimes. The reddish tone is a bit more loud of a color and is something I personally could see myself liking at first but getting sick of it after a while.

I’m a fan of this.

Craftsman green/earth tones FTW.
