We put the 106mm turbo on the car and decided to take it to the 1/4 mile tonight to see what she would do with a little bit more boost. OMG is all I have to say! First pass we left on 12lbs and the car went up on the bumper 80ft out breaking the wheelie bars. We came back around and everything checked out(except for the bars) so Josh decided to put the travel limiters back on it and give it another try. We left on 12lbs again and the front end didnt even come up but still went a 1.230 sixty(best for the car) and half way down the track the steering wheel didnt feel right so I dumped the laundry and lifted. Good thing becuase the steering shaft was loose. Josh gets that taken care of and up to the lanes once more. We were feeling pretty confident with the previous 60’ that it was going to run a number this pass. We left on 10lbs of boost and had no problems to the sixty, once I hit high gear I knew this thing was on a SERIOUS pass, BAM 7.57 @ 188.99mph. We were not expecting to run quite that fast but we will take it. We let the car cool down and decided to try and back it up. By this time the lanes were closed and the dew started to roll in. We left everything the same except added 2 more lbs of boost down track. The car 60’ great again and was pulling strong until the 1000ft mark she got a little loose and I had to pedal it and drop the laundry a little earlier but still managed a 7.67 @177mph. With all these passes we did not push one single drop of water. That means we are going to try and turn it up even more next time out:devil:. This new motor combination is just BAD. Thanks to all the guys at LME for building such a stout bullet. Here is a pic of the timeslips.
Here is a vid of the last pass of the night. We didnt get the 7.57 pass but hopefully someone else out there got it.
