New Magnus Cast Intake Manifold for the EVOs.

I received two intake manifolds today that are to be used on a couple customer cars in the near future. These cast manifolds have been in the works now for about a year and half. I am proud to say that I was able to aid in the development of this part. This manifold has been truly engineered from the ground up. I won’t go into too many details but I will say alot of rapid prototyping and CFD (computaional fluid dynamics) analysis of the design has gone into making the final part. There is one already running around on a certain moderators EVO now. It made more power than the sheet metal intake that Magnus currently makes.

This manifold has a 5 liter plenum and is flanged for a 100 mm throttle body but an adapter flange can be used for the stock unit. I am very impressed with the final product it’s about time a properly designed manifold was made for the import world. This is on par with the JG edelbrock units for the Hondas. The only regret I have for this is that I didn’t get to produce a cast intake first when we were in business because we had this in the works as well…then we went the way of the dodo. On to the pictures.

old news…

LOL

Sweet!! How much better do they perform over the stocker?? Definitely looks like a well designed piece!

I don’t remember the numbers but it made more power than the original sheet metal magnus and that made more than stock…

The only design flaws are: it faces the wrong way and is flanged at the head incorrectly.

:word:

When does the DSM version come out???

Dunno, this one took a year and half and still isn’t “out”… lol

No shit. Welcome to last week.

lol I hate your car. “it’s like fisting a loose woman full of legos”

Wow thats nice:tup: too bad they dont make them for my car :frowning:

7 bolt!
More bolt more power!

are these manufactured in St. cAtharines?

as i mentioned before, i happened to meet a gentlemen who offered up that he was building the cast version of the manifolds: post 38 http://www.nyspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43726&highlight=magnus&page=2

looks like a solid piece.

I just read your post, the sheet metal ones are made in house, the cast ones are outsourced. That might be what he was talking about. Last summer I made a few trips to do fitment tests with a rapid prototype. One was on my birthday, the tooling was developed in the summer time once the design was finished then it has been a run since.

indy’s V2 stock ported intake manifold stills gets my vote. performed right on par with sheet metal intake manifolds and retains all emissions.

lets see some numbers.

whats the price on this?

you’d vouch for the casting?

the manufacturer quoted me some exceptional pricing on some items… i am interested in pursuing.

^ if you do, make a nice rb25 one to fit the neo (wink wink)

cool, maybe I’ll buy one.

This manifold bests the SMIM that Magnus makes quite significantly…

yea his old sheet intake made less power than the stocker, lol!

You must be one of the Buscher Racing humpers… :picard:

I guess if you had your facts straight you would have a clue. :gotme:
