I received two intake manifolds today that are to be used on a couple customer cars in the near future. These cast manifolds have been in the works now for about a year and half. I am proud to say that I was able to aid in the development of this part. This manifold has been truly engineered from the ground up. I won’t go into too many details but I will say alot of rapid prototyping and CFD (computaional fluid dynamics) analysis of the design has gone into making the final part. There is one already running around on a certain moderators EVO now. It made more power than the sheet metal intake that Magnus currently makes.
This manifold has a 5 liter plenum and is flanged for a 100 mm throttle body but an adapter flange can be used for the stock unit. I am very impressed with the final product it’s about time a properly designed manifold was made for the import world. This is on par with the JG edelbrock units for the Hondas. The only regret I have for this is that I didn’t get to produce a cast intake first when we were in business because we had this in the works as well…then we went the way of the dodo. On to the pictures.
DOS MONOS !!!
Marco gives it a thumbs up…(and he’s in buffalo)
God damn these things are huge and going to rock the house.
I just read your post, the sheet metal ones are made in house, the cast ones are outsourced. That might be what he was talking about. Last summer I made a few trips to do fitment tests with a rapid prototype. One was on my birthday, the tooling was developed in the summer time once the design was finished then it has been a run since.
