If an inaccuracy is printed or posted by a company or an individual who is placing something for sale, the only way that person becomes free of any liability is to print (or in your case, type) an addendum or correct to the ad at the earliest convenience, usually considered in court to be within 48 hours. If the business is contacted about the advertisement before the addendum is printed, then it is the sole responisbility to inform the customer of the mistake and to offer them the “actual” advertisement and then inform them that they are not going to be held to any decisions made without complete knowledge of the mistake as well as the correct ad that was going to be run.
Nonetheless, you have commited what is commonly referred to as Bait and Switch… Advertising one product, only to sell the same product but one that is in a different state (used, damaged, etc…) than what you are advertising.
As an individual, you are 100% liable for that bait and switch tactic just the same as any registered sole proprietor, LLP, or corporation would be.
Don’t fuck with me on business law, cell phone boy… I work for a real company doing real work, and I know this law very well. Your case is a clear and ADMITTED(on your part) case of bait and switch that would not last 5 seconds in any court of law.
