New part to the 240.

Well i finally bought a turbo for the car. Its a Garrett T3/T04E 57 trim .63 a/r housing non ball-bearing. It was use with only a couple hundred miles on it for only 450shipped. Here are some pics.

Pic of baby next to it for a true comparison. Good stuff, how much power are you planning on making?

I plan on making 425-475rwhp.

what other mods do you have to support the 425whp+ ?

I will have pretty soon some Brian crower stage 2 street cams,810cc injectors,z32 mafs, full 3" exhaust, walbro fuel pump, tial bov and wastegate, enthalpy tune or greddy emanage, spearco fmic with custom piping, new head gasket, arp head bolts. Thats all i can think of right now but there might be some things missing.

get rid of your mafs and forget about Enthalpy / Greddy e-manage

enthalpy is not bad by any means but mail order tunes are conservative by nature… Unless he personally tunes your ecu with your car present you would be exceptionally fortunate to reliably run that kind of HP daily…

I cant think of anyone using E-manage… it’s pretty gay.

I had an Enthalpy tune on my car running under 300hp… it worked well but didnt have the kind of transparency needed to safely run mid 300’s. yes you can do it, but you probably shouldnt.

The last place you want to try and save money on a build like this is your ECU / computer.

Go with a Apexi Power FC D-jet at minimum… and ideally use a AEM EMS or better.

happy240sx on here (Dan from Ontario) just ripped out a 441whp SR20 out of his S14… he will tell you the same shit… enthalpy tune is not to be used with this much power and E-manage is the same thing except no one uses it so no one can help you with it either… at least if you have the enthalpy you can get support from Scott himself.

Alrighty then. I will look into the Power fc. What did he have done to his s14?

id also say forget brian crower cams go with some jim wolf s4’s

im sure there will be completely different standalone units in 2012 when you get this thing running.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll second that

journal bearings ftw

I know lol it will be out thiss year. No more buying clothes and dumb stuff. Have to get it on the road.
