You move pretty fast.  on that.
Hehe. I offered him $ when he first got it. But my offer dropped since its a basket of parts at this point. Maybe I’ll offer to buy it just before paint
So Joe, the easy work is done, get it over to media blast and doing some upgrades!
Great progress so far. How’d you deal with rusty/seized bolts?
PB Blaster and oxyacetelene baby
Nice work!
blah blah blah. never selling…especially for your offer lol.
Still have to rip the front suspension apart, then send it out for blasting. Then the real work can start. I jammed on it the past 3 days, and now i might not be able to work on it again until at
least Sunday night or Monday night.
rusty bolts were easy…if they didn’t break free, they just broke lol, and what i couldn’t break free/break by hand, the snap-on cordless impact did it for me
damn…nice find man
Looks great so far
I finally got around to getting the front suspension off the frame…now the frame is bare. Kind of at a stand still right now for a week or 2 until i can get the frame blasted.
during my time of boredom, i had a little fun with photo shop. decided to make a rendering of what she will look like when its done. the color isn’t exactly correct, but close enough to get the idea. Those are also the wheels i am using…same ones i had on the old mustang…also added the chrome bullets instead of rubber…did a 1 piece front bumper with shaved bolts, and removed the V on the hood to clean up the clutter. still debating on whether to shave the hood rockets or not. I have a hood that this was done to already, and I kind of like it.
Here is the frame.
and here is my little rendering…
this really is turning out great, my brother likes painting cars like this. Big into resto projects … and taught autobody at UTI. Lemme know if you are looking for someone.
LOVE that look. It just looks classic.
nice, id rethink those wheels those. i like the chrome but that spoke setup, not so much.
I dont know if your looking for any parts but my dad has a 55 and 2-3 motors for it but big and small blocks. Ill find out more information when i get home.
let me know what motors…i may be interested in 1
nah, I am sticking with them. I had these before on my mustang. that particular chop does not show the wheels very well. I don’t want to go to a traditional 5 spoke wheel, well, because every tri-five car on the planet with aftermarket wheels has them. its boring. Going 18" in the rear and 17" up front…possibly even 18s all the way around since there is gobs of room, but we will see. I am going to do a few more renderings to get a better idea.
ugh!.. you suck!..
Awesome project.
Do you know what you are going to do with the frame yet? Powdercoat or epoxy prime with a single stage paint?
Anyways MORE PICS!!! It’s cool to watch.
once i get it blasted, i have to do a bit of repair to the frame, and eliminate some unwanted brackets. then I am going to have it powder coated.
very nice  I need to find something like this i can sink my hands into. ever need a hand, just holler!
Saw your sig and was wondering if you got anything accomplished over winter?
no progress yet since the last post…I have been consumed with house stuff and looking for work. I will be back on it hopefully by mid march the latest. Just had to put it on the back burner for a bit.
