what products do you guys use to get the sticky shit off of the paint after removing a vinyl decal (in this case, factory stripes, im going for the solid look)

has anyone had any experience with this? even though my cars only driven in summer, the trunk is starting to get a few rust bubbles, and i purchased a fiberglass one last summer thinking id paint it but decided not to cause i didnt pay much attention to the car since the weather was fairly decent this year

my hood is carbon fiber (real), the wheels are gunmetal, so id like the look of the trunk to look the same, but if this wrap sucks then ill just paint it the factory color

Just paint it black. You’ll get 9/10ths terrible for 1/10th the price and effort.

I bought a bunch of this to cover my mustang in. It worked fantastic, covered up all the rust and made the panel about 1/4 of the weight of the stock piece.
