-85# injectors

  • either a dual oem pump setup from fastlane or surge tank system by vengeance racing (any opinions) dual oem is good for 800hp while the surge is 1000+ but has more work and more expense.
    -some new heads from TSP with Ti valves and .675 lift springs
  • sfi 10% overdrive crank pulley 8 rid system and possibly a cog system for the rear drive.
    -lots of drivetrain parts along with my two weeks transmission… shooting for about 700whp. Prob wont see that much but such is life.

He is kind of a big thing on ls1tech and a few other mainstream lsx forums. I talked to him on the phone a few times. He should set you up right. I know when I was planning my 418 build, I called him with what I thought I needed for a fuel setup. He steered me in a different direction and actually saved me a lot of money. I liked how he was more concerned about me getting what suits my needs the most, even if it means me spending less money at his store

and the best part… he is in pittsburgh.

P.S. he also does dual pump setups and sumps stock fuel tanks.

ok well i ordered the cnc ported heads today from tsp with hollow stem valves, ti retainers, .675 valvesprings, oem head gaskets and arp head studs. Also ordered arp rod bolts, and a surge tank fuel system from vengeance racing and some 85# injectors from injection connection.

Any idea on projected hp with new stuff?

meh not really. i was 580whp on the mustang dyno prior…i’m gonna hit up the dynojet i always use to show actual hp gain from last time once the trans comes in. I have a two week wait for heads…i’m starting to hate companies saying two weeks… But I would say 700whp will prob happen or close to it at least.

what was your initial idea for jets? 150? either way we should be close on the strip for sure.

150… 200 shot every now and then, if the person I’m racing is one of them big hitters… provided i get myself a backup car. lol. This weekend it’s getting tuned for a 150 though.

yes that is the main shaft or output shaft whatever you wanna call it sheared right off. This happened on launch at MIR back in November.

what dealer say? wonder if GM would possibly cover that since they do claim that is one of the strongest trannys made

just curious why you havent gone with the LS9 7 layer MLS gaskets instead of the stockers? the LS9 ones are thicker and are labeled as GM’s boosted head gasket. I plan to run these on my latest setup

summit even lists them as well, only downfall ive seen is not everyone can get ahold of them as they are limited to availability

the output shaft breaking is actually not too uncommon on these cars. John Fitzpatrick (GM) already put out a bulletin… you break the output shaft, they give you a new one for free.

Some people have broken the shaft on stock cars, just regularly driving it around.

Think of the output shaft of the tr6060 ass the new 10 bolt!
