worth 200 more then mine??
damn new year and shit
thinking on upgrading anyway
ask this again? Or say that again?
also you my want to just go with the w6v2.
It has better Sq performance, and needs less power.
The JL W7’s in my opinion are if you are competing in SPL competitions or trying to show off your wallet.
^^^ i have to agree with SNS for once… W7 waste unless for SLP drag racing W6 is more then enough
i realy love my system.if you heard my one 12 with only a punch 500, its the best sub bass sound ive ever heard.ill will crush most peoples 2 12s or 15s with no problems at all. with more power(1000 watt+) ill break windows and bend sheet metal.
plus i dont want young buck to have nicer speakers then me
dude for one second stop being a blabbering vagina and please explain what the hell happend…lol
I have one 12 W6 v2 and it blows my two 12’s out of the water by 3-4 fold, but they were also W0’s.
Who is young buck, what happend to your stuff, what are you running on your 500 watt amp and is it 500 RMS or 500 Peak. there is a big difference. Basically if your amp is 500 RMS (need to know what ohm rating this is), then you coule run a single W6v2 wired to 2 ohm no problem if your amp is stable to that which it depends because some 2 channel amps ar not stable to 2 ohm bridged, Only 4 ohm bridged. Now if your amp is 500 RMS at 4 ohm stable you could run two W6v2 in seris giving you a 4 ohm load.
You just have to remember that with the W6 you have dual voice coils so it SAYS its a 4 phm sub, BUT in actuallty its two 4 ohm coils and you have to wire the coils in series or parellen giving you a 2 ohn in parellel or 8 ohm in seriers for ONE sub.
Now if you run two W6v2s you can run both the coils in seires and then hook the two subs up parellel giving you a 4 ohm load.
I know it may sound complicated but its not. If you want to see one and hear it let me know. I can help you out.
a rapper from 50cents ggg-gunit
.
nothing happend to my dub7 except they came out with a newer one now.
i running an older punch 500(rated at 699 watts according to the spec sheet in a 2 ohm load.) the stereoshop that did mine installs bling bling systems for pro-athletes and rappers said they have never seen a more underpowered system then mine.(fuckin millionares and shit)
i would like to hear yours at a meet or sometime when im in the hills.(anytime really)
if you are underpowering the one 7 you should just down grade to a 12 W6v2 if your amp is stable to 2 ohms.
Do you have the modle number and possible the year of your punch amp?
ill get it, should be on the spec sheet
my one 12w6 is powered by a bd500i. thats all you really need Dick. this amp produces over 700wrms dont at 2 ohms. i had it run at 1.5 before and had no problems. right now its running at 3 ohms wich is putting out about 350rms or so. thats about the power handling of a w6
Power handling for performance on the W6v2 is between 400 and 500, optium being placed at 425 according to their chart.
You said you are running that amp now at 3ohms with 1 w6? or do you have new subs…
my subs are dual 6 ohms. when i had two of them it was 1.5 ohms. i have a mono block amp
dual 6 ohms gives ya 3 ohms or 12 oms
Off topic… follow the rules Quik
I understand that I just though you were saying you had W6’s running that which confused me since the new design only comes in dual 4 ohms. The old W6’s are actually the current W3v2…
yea my subs were purchased 3 yrs ago. when the w6 was the biggest
and a 4 ohm sub would suck in a multi setup
yeah I was just looking at the owners manual for thos subs you have. Talk about wierd.
great subs for mulitsetups… easliy can run 3 with minor load on a amp. figure if wired right 3 subs get you 4.5 ohms
actually if you have 3 of those subs it would either be a 4 ohm or 1 ohm. :hs:
here is the link
im getting one this spring
