Unlike the Sirius unit of similar function, this one can be used portably and LIVE.
And from my understanding, Sirius is making almost no showing at the CES in Vegas right now. Spent a little too much money on Howie I guess.

I cant believe he got 500 million… actually over 700 million with the stock. He is pulling in subscribers tho.
Well he starts Monday and Sirius is only up to 3 million. XM just eclipsed 6 million subscribers and they have a deal with direct TV which exposes them to 15 million additional users.
Anyway, has anyone seen the other XM receiver that is coming out. Its called the Passport, and its about the size of a book of matches. Its the smallest receiver available and it simply pops into cradles for your car or home. No need to disconnect wires, just pop out the cube from one place to another.

Does every XM vs. Sirius thread have to turn into an O&A vs. Howard Stern debate? Cripes, give it a rest already. Some people like O&A, and some people like Stern.
ON TOPIC: That looks like a nice setup. I think I can make my unit almost as portable with some creative thinking though. Just because it isn’t designed for it doesn’t mean I can’t make it work. I just have to see how much current this thing draws to see how feasible my idea is.
if u wanna start talking like that, add pretty much every dish subscriber to sirius’s count.
sirius also had more unit sales this past qt than XM.
and i cant stand O&A or stern, so that doesnt effect my decision.
