…thats it?

You better make it into a magazine when your done, it will especially help you with selling price.(if you sell) This car deserves a cover.

I hope the yellow color doesn’t keep me out of a magazine.

I think you need two models when you are done with this car. One brown haired girl dressed in WWII German era army fatigues the other Japanese with same said fatigues from Japan.

(The only link I know of between Germany and Japan was during WWII…maybe that is a stretch though.)

a magazine and the best of nyspeed?
your nuts will be on the floor from all the sack riders.

Glad to see it all coming together. I know I don’t have that kind of patience/time/skill/tools to make it all work.

Wish me luck… lol.

Came out pretty good. I also put a SLIGHT angle (2 degrees) into the flange to increase the block clearance a little bit. On an annoying note, I balanced the front cover on the motor to get a feel for what it would look like and it fell off. Fucked up the paint really bad on the most visible thing on the hole GD motor. Son of a bitch. I’ll probably put a sticker over it or something…

Orange body kitted civics used to make magazines. I am curious as to what magazine would dig this car the most. Have you thought about trying to talk to any magazines about it yet? I would not even know how to approach it without seeming like just another guy.

You should try DSPORT, They seem like the new hotness in import magazines.

I need to finish the car before i think about trying to contact anyone about it…

LUCK!

you cock chuting son of a bitch

sponsors to pay fo everythang?

I think the only thing this car will need at the end of the day will be APC altezza tail lights and a huge APC sticker across the front window that has been partially removed by the wiper blade path.

Then and only then should you consider putting it in any respectable magazine.

Got a call from the heat treater’s… the shims are done.

Gonna pick em up on lunch and hopefully get the cams in tonight!

when does the motor go in?

Motor will go in once it’s together… i’m shooting for this weekend. I really wanted to put the turbo manifold on, before I drop it in the car, but my studs aren’t gonna be here til next weds, so I might wait for that…

Really cracking the whip on this thing.
Good looks.

are they special studs? what size? we have quite an assortment and they’re readily available to us as well as copper heat nuts or crimped stover nuts and compression lock washers.

Just finished surface grinding the shims to w/in a .0005"

Came out pretty good. A few of them are a touch under, but the tolerance on the lash per Nissan is +/- .001, and I am using 3 feeler gauges to measure it (per Nissan FSM)… so it’s not gonna be that accurate…

They’re not a special size or anything, I just wanted ARP ones… because it seemed like a good idea, considering the weight of the manifold.

(even though the thermally induced stress is at least one order of magnitude higher than the weight induced stress… peace of mind I guess…)

I might snag some nuts from you though to ensure they don’t back off. The thread is M8 x 1.25
