For your wire harness…
I have ~6 foot piece 1/4 inch. But I may have some larger laying around.

Oh, right right. I was thinking about using that f6 side entry braided sleeving so I don’t need to pull off all the connectors…
Ah. It’s yours if you ever think you need it.
I don’t think I have side entry. I’ll look.
It looks the same, but it just doesn’t require pulling the whole thing apart to make changes…
I’m officially swingin’ on this build.
I checked our stock pile. No dice on the side entry. However, I was told you can pick it up at Home Depot for pretty cheap.
that math is fucked
doing it right the first time = OVERRATED
seriously, do some fucking heaters already.:banghead:
+1 for heaters
lolzzz.
They don’t make a silicone aftermarket version of that hose on top of the engine? Maybe it’s just the picture but that looks like a regular rubber hose…i think silicone would add to the gloss bling factor of your bay…and obviously be more durable/last longer.
It is regular rubber hose. I should have welded on AN ports. I’m unaware of any aftermarket parts.
That is a stock hose i assume right? you’d think that for all cars/motors, THIS one would have silicone aftermarket versions of EVERY rubber hose.
Meh, at least it’s in a super easy spot to get to if it ever does wear out…i’m just so use to every hose being a pain in the dick to get to, so any time i had something apart, any hoses i exposed were replaced with silicone.
Actually Samco makes one, 150 bucks. I might be changing the breather setup in the future anyway, so IDK if it’s prudent to purchase it.
I honestly don’t see the point in a breather hose being silicone.
This thing is looking sweet!
Where are you getting your Stainless lines, or do you a means to make them? You must have tons of time into finding/routing/making/re-fitting in that engine bay.
Actually I have not made more than one line once.
I buy the hoses and fittings from summit, then assemble them myself.
Only tools you need are a cut off wheel, tape, grease, a vice and wrenches (i use a crescent wrench wrapped in tape to avoid marking the fittings).
I probably have nearly 500 bucks in stainless lines and fittings on the car tho!
First time i have looked at this in a while nice progress. I love the color of the valve cover.
Not to sound noobish, but do you use the cutoff wheel for braided stainless line? How clean of cuts does that make? I know that the line frays no matter what you use but I bought the Cutting tool that summit sells and I have never been impressed by the quality of cuts it makes after I remove the tape.
^FYI…I have used a fine tooth (32 Teeth/inch) hacksaw and electrical tape with VERY good results. I have heard an abrasive cutoff wheel works well too provided you take your time and not blow through the hose in 2 seconds.
