HOLY SHIT! i wasn’t expecting that when i scrolled down. that was quick!
nice. any pics in the daylight?
nice man
Looks great, is this the same motor you had in the 240?
Nice! Are you painting the flares to match or keeping them black?
that turned out really good, i love that color
did the skirts and everything get painted yet? or is it just the body that got painted.
if we hit 100 pages does the internet blow up?
To answer some questions:
-The only thing that is painted is the body.
-The flares will be black
-In natural light the car is NOT green. It is gold/spicy mustard yellow. In natural light you would not ever think the car was even a little green, it’s so weird. I wish it was green like it shows in the pics, but oh well.
-the paint job is not perfect. DEF needs wet sand and buff. There are a few waves in the door, and a few noticeable imperfections here and there, but I think brian did a great job with what he had to work with.
^ def, give bryan sometime to wet sand and buff it out and it’ll come out gorgeous. cant wait to see this thing move
I’m only on page 49, get with the times. lol
did you have to hack up the rear quarters that much just for clearance?
I think a really dark green would have looked classier…
i’m still digging the concept, but down in florida i see a lot of stupid clean e30’s… some of them are very wild colors… the ones that I like most typically have a much more reserved/conservative color… ie… the blueish-silver one i called you about…
cant wait to see this thing done though
fuck me… brYan. lol. yeah i wish the paint was a little less transparent. it sprays similar to a candy color and without having a base with a high solid content, coverage was difficult in some spots. The outcome is still a quality paint job on a dime with a wet sand and buff it will look exponentially better. i really like the way the color changes. its like a mood ring!!! trendy
omg bryan you’re dreamy
It’s NYG!!
Dam, looks good, lots of work since I have been gone. Are you keeping it AWD?
gay poupon
First, some day shots of the car. Looks a lot different, huh?
Next I made some coolant pipes (i installed the IC piping to ensure clearance)
Shot of the intercooler and radiator installed (temporarily):
Then I started installing the window gaskets and some of the trim. The trim is actually blacked out with vinyl, which is a pretty popular way to do it. It looks really good:
Lastly, I made and installed some AN lines to be used with my PCV vacuum setup. That unaatached line will go to a catch can, then into the exhaust evacuator.
coolant pipes are mild, they need to be powdercoated.
