Not worried about having to remove some corrosion under the wrapped headers before coating? I understand the rationale. Just asking. I guess you won’t be driving 100k miles or anything but…
I am pretty sure jethot or whoever preps the parts before they coat them…
Stainless generally does not corrode.
anything corrodes if exposed to the elements and given time, although im sure with the coating and quality of metal and care this will be fine. i sell ambulances, and if they have extrusions of a dissimilar alloy, electrolysis will occur even though they are both technically aluminum, resulting in corrosion. shit i’m going through this as we speak with a customer
That’s why I said generally.
i know, just thinking out loud
Well next time think to yourself mister!
:fuzzyfish:
wheels up, gravity down, sump in the rear
Driving forward, sump in the rear
Stainless isn’t “stainless”. That is just what they call it. I find it impressive that you of all people, wouldn’t know that a stainless exhaust will most definitely oxidize.
cool, nm
He definitely knows. lol. we’ve talked about it.
not sure if I dig the new signature. shift happens I suppose
Change is good.
304 or 321? I’m going to start doing ceramic coating in addition to powdercoating shortly.
CHRISTIAN WILL YOU WRAP THAT DOWN PIPE FOR GOD SAKE!
I see the brand for the blanket, but is the wrap also DEI?
Yes.
i woulda ate a snickers bar in dat ass!
lol @ Mike’s Mask
Leftover Mummy -> headband, leftover heatwrap -> headband too?
