i totally disagree… I think that would look really bad.
Gloss black on them wouldn’t look too bad, although it may cheapen the look to some people.
They were gloss, i coated them with plastidip.
LOL its funny because I told you just the other day I don’t do a build thread because I hate hearing everyone opinions on what I should do with MY car. Anyhow I like them how they are. There is my shitty opinion
switch to black oxide stainless fasteners on the flares? mcmaster has them.
i think you should switch the flares to green and plastidip the body of the car black. Just my opninion though.
lol. done.
In natural lighting the color might not look to off.
I think it looks good how they are, this isn’t a fancy show car, it’s a modded and hacked BMW lol
Since when is constructive criticism a bad thing?
I thought that was kind of the point of these threads. Or are we just supposed to ‘ooooooooooooo’ and ‘aaaahhhhhhh’ at every project? As long as people aren’t harsh about their opinions and/or thoughts, then what’s the big deal?
it’s not hacked!
sometimes people say really dumb stuff, though.
+1. it just looks unfinished in black.
in a perfect world they should look like:
Good god that S2K is pure sex. what wheels are those?
I think everyone is high. I think the flares look totally badass black. And yes, on a curvy car with very matching contoured flares like Aaron posted, color matched look awesome. This isn’t exactly a curvy car though…
I think he’s making the right decision on the body flares. The S2K and porsche ones are bigger and flow with the body so they look decent with body color. The ones Newman is using are straight forward and simple. As newman pointed out with his picture of the white BMW, they do look pretty goofy painted. My opinion is that he made the right choice

I can see that argument… I think if the car had more black accent items they wouldn’t stand out so much. picture the factory side rub strips, black mirrors, maybe black racing stripes, etc…
