I don’t think i’ve ever seen a plated IC… only stealthy black ones which I would assume is a rattle can job and dramatically decreases efficiency.

Swaintech has a black heat shedding plating / anodizing. There is a anodizing finishing place on Gould in depew that can anodize the parts for you pretty cheap too.
There’s an anodizer in hamburg that’s stupid cheap.
