Well, my insurance quote got jacked up to 5,000 a year because they ran my MVR and my license is currently suspended… damnit.

Unpaid tickets?

Cop said I did a burnout in the toll booths in the lotus, which is BS because traction control will not let that happen, but it’s DEF my fault for not going to court…

that stinks and sorry to hear that!

the shiftknobs came out awesome

5K a year is tough…

I like the belts and harnesses a lot.

I thought the velour knob was a tennis ball, lol.

Sadly so did I. I thought it was for size comparison?

Wow, that blows. Why can’t you insure a car while you don’t have a license? At this point you’d probably save ~$3500 a year if you had me insure your cars for you.

i’m working on getting the suspension erased from my record…

Also, Sunday I installed my front splitter, installed the windshield, as well as leveled out the driver’s seat. For some reason it was tipped a bit…

I still have to install some window trim, a new non-leaking (hopefully) oil feed fitting and a few other bits…

Driveshaft should be here this week I hope.

correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t you need the harness bar to be at least as high as the top of your shoulders to be safe? this pic might just make it look low.

http://onyxsyndicate.com/newman/e30gtr/img/thumbs/seats4.jpg

It might be a tad low. you can have up to 20 degrees I think, tho…

However, I’m not defending that 2000 dollar pile of shit vito antonicelli cage. This cage wouldn’t even pass tech for a 10 second car. the mounting plates for the cage aren’t even solid welded…

Blue and yellow knobs look like a hitch ball.

Didn’t the DMV send you a letter saying you have x days before it’s suspended?
They sent me one of those letters for a ticket received 4 years earlier.
I tried to handle it all by mail and avoid the suspension. I have not been back to the DMV since, but I’m sure it worked itself out

Oh yeah. It’s no one’s fault but my own. I just have to deal with it.

Driveshaft should be here on weds.

4" and 20* i believe is the rule on the shoulder harnesses

Technically speaking, though there is a ton of variation depending on racing series, belt type, hans, no hans, type of car, etc. But that’s a good general guideline.

oooops. 4" is for the x-over bar height to the shoulders

looks good sexy, but I am still going to keep you to your word of picking me up and trying some steak…
