Newman's 1986 BMW 326rb build thread.

noce work CT…290 at 8 psi isnt toooooooo shabby…good lucl on the 20 PSI tune should be awesome

must feel good

Not bad for 8 psi, I bet it feels great to drive it. Why does the HP an TQ fall off so much up top though?? I thought that was an awesome head design with a big turbo, it should basically never fall off?

Holy shit

amazing picture.

stock cams…? also we didn’t get very aggressive with the timing because it’s still just breakin in…

Awesome man. Hows the v88? I havn’t had a chance to play with one yet, but I hear they’re quite the toy.

I have a plug in, which is based on the V44, not as baller.

well, you might as well flat black the whole car now. Super non-baller.

very nice… I think the fact that the flame pic is low res makes it look cooler.

:bigclap:

Agreed - scan lines and all!

Fuck it break it in the way Mitch broke in the r33. 30+psi on the dyno under load for 45 seconds,… :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s basically the same build except you have springs and retainers

Congrats on getting it running!

X…

Congrats on getting it on the road for a drive…

Once it is tuned will you be driving it around as a summer DD or will you mostly drive the Exige? I’m assuming this is mostly a “track” car but are you going to put a lot of road miles on it?

i made 290whp in my civic…with a smaller turbo and ten psi. yyaarrhh!!!

Newman goes to the track?

Congrats on getting it running and starting to break it in.

Have you finished the burnoutodometer?

Yeah, it may be that at that boost range, it simply falls out of efficiency up top, similar to too much boost. I would guess that is what is happening.
