how come you gave the other forum big pictures and us little thumb nails? =(
click them…
and jerkstore im off today come pick me up in this pile…
ROFL.
yea that thread ws hella gay…all of them said…I dunno if i would want it…well good…you dont have to have it, its not your car
I think it takes a certain mindset to understand how much work went into this project. Most of the shit I have seen people rush through a project, big or small, break shit doing it and hack it back to together. Sure it looks nice from the outside but…are all the trim panels actually fastened to the car correctly or does one OEM clip, 3 drywall screws, and some 3M tape hold it on…?
This build…Newman used Cable-Fucking-Clamps with Rubber-Fucking-Padding on his Hand-Fucking-Bent brake lines. I don’t care who works on a car. That much detail, which is one of MANY on this, is the bases on how that person works. Clearly they are thinking about Quality, Reliability, and are using the most basic human function…Common Sense. I know people will learn from this build. That is why I think it is so cool.
If anyone hates on this…theys just ignant.
Well Done Newman.
It’s just super weird paint. If I sprayed the the fender with light grey primer, then made a mark on it with white paint marker, even after 10 coats of base, I guarantee you could see the white marker clear as day… it’s soooo translucent…
so the number of coats of paint HUGELY reflects the final color…

you realize that:
A) they were clickable
B) there is a whole build page with TONS of pics in it
C) I didn’t post it there.
I’ve clashed with Newman on here before. Honestly I regret getting off on the wrong foot for many reasons. The main reason is I let him goat me into flying off the handle and losing my cool, he’s a pro at more than just engineering.
I don’t care for some (ok alot) of his antics, but anyone that questions his skill level is a crackhead.
You gotta give respect where it’s due or your just a hater. And haters be ignant! LOL
I think we should try and get Xzibit out here to officially call this ride PIMPED.
Thanks.

Looks good. I still think you should at least get a bar to protect that exposed FMIC.
If there was a 1" strip of flimsy bumper around the bottom of the intercooler, no one would say ANYTHING, but it’d be no more protected.
Strip the hella naff, y0! baby poo brown paint down to the metal, let it rust, and slap on a roof rack.
LoL
I had no idea those euroffgts were hating so hard. That thread had me laughing.
Opinions are like assholes. We all have our own and they all stink.
Personally, I thoroughly enjoy everything about the build. Would I go about things differently if I were start my own build? Absolutely. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences.
That being said I really want to see this thing!
great build, awesome work.
read as much as i could for now, will finish another time.
how in the world do you get yourself to go out and work during the cold ass winter?? extreme heater?
Vws are like tampons every pussy has one
those kids all suck so hard.
Saw this yesterday and must say the car is lookin great. Good to see it out and about.
A) Now I do
B) Yes
C) You win!
interweb just pwned me…
It’s ballsy, I’d be too paranoid driving it around. Sorry for hatin dawg but I still like it.
No it’s fine… it looks vulnerable to me too… but i think it’s just because you don’t see it like that ever, when it’s almost the same thing…
The lip will hit about 1.5" before the FMIC does, tho…
Been a long time Christian since I logged in here… looking good bro…
looking at a stroker (3.3ltr) crank kit for the RB30- it’s Godzilla time…
Andy! What’s up man. How’s the 'Cuda?
