Started to prep the trunk for a coat of POR15, then rhinoliner.
Strut mounts should be in today… that means I can finish installing the suspension.
do you have wheels for it yet? What about the braking components? I would love to see this thing down on 4 wheels.
kind of lame, considering the high level you’ve gone to so far. I know it won’t last long.
I think getting it rolling to the point where you can work on getting the engine and other components working well is still gonna take a while and probably higher on the priority list anyways.

But dont bmw’s have “big” brakes to start with, I beleve the stock ones will work fine but if you want to look big time then yes when it comes time to even get to it it would look better with a nice set of wilwood or the like … Im sure you still have months of build time left

dont waste your money on brakes yet. you still have alot of hidden costs that you havent come across yet in order to finish the car.

My wilwoods are a NPT threaded hole in the caliper. You can put whatever you want into that. What would you prefer it to have?

exactly, 4 wheel disc brakes work fine, there were a lot of turbo hatches rolling around with stock 4 wheel disc gsr brakes and they’re all still alive haha

Christian, everyone telling you not to buy brakes is a poor fggt…prove them you’re real baller and buy brakes, if only for spite.

You got a ways to go before you need any brakes at all but… I still say buy those depending on how much of a deal they are and if you can squeeze it into the budget. If they’re a hell of a deal then it’d be worth it to push other purchases off or delay completion of the build for a bit.
thats what he means NPT isn’t really for the extremes of a brake system, I’d rather have some kind of a seated seal myself, over a threads seal.
