my 228 is starting to annoy me… 6’3 I wear it well… but damn, my pants are starting to get tight.
I am against this decision 100%!
 though
 will make a big difference. will also help Your gastrointestinal uhhh, “fortitude”
Those are three of the EASIEST and most efficient ways to lose initial weight. Unfortunatly, like bumping the timing on Your kaa, this will only get You so far. Do this for a few weeks and You’ll lose alot of water weight (sounds backwards, I know) and “loose” fat.
After that You have to start working a bit more, but in some cases just the above two quotes can help shed 20lbs in 1 month - depending on initial BMI.
:word: :wstupid:
240 & 6’1" here… I was 215 for ~2 years then all of the sudden threw on 25 lbs. I need to get to work as well…
the most overlooked version of weight reduction. to you.
seriously, it’s all about determination. if you set out a plan and follow it religiously, you’ll have no trouble meeting your goals.
lol… in High School I was a ripped 180… I suck at life now.
I eat late cause thats when the wife gets home and cooks. I really have to stop eating late… last night it was 12:30 and I had 3 slices of pizza and a pop… I had ice cream at the movies…
i worked out there this weekend. the astoria club. my cousin is a manager there. nice choice of clubs btw, the 3 i saw were all really nice
Actually, I heard the eating late thing is just a myth. I guess some study (and I have no evidence to back this up, but I remember hearing it) proved that it all comes down to calories in and calories out (and of course the type of calories). Anyways, if you dont eat all day and then eat 1300 calories for dinner at 8/9 o’clock…technically you should still lose weight (based on a caloric need of 2000 per day).
although most of us office types are only burning 1500 or less a day
and even drinking more than 7 alcoholic beverages a week has been proven to increase un-wanted weight gain. (once again no evidence)

I’m fucked
 howard
i’m down 5lb so far. i still have another 10 or 15 to lose. it’s tough when you’re a lush.
tough? can’t You work it off at work?
yea, having 100k of fitness equipment 10’ away does make it a little easier
my burn is much higher than 1500… actually when I joined Ballys my burn @ idle was higher than a lot of people during activity. I burn 3000+ a day apparently…
I def don’t eat as healthy as I should, I also try to consume as much of something as possible, cause i don’t know when I’ll be eating next.
I just dropped off a few calories …
i would say i am lucky if i burn more than 1500 a day. my metabolism is about as fast as howies car.
lucky bastard

the problem is that none of us are 18 anymore (well, most of us, i think)… years of alcohol and self-abuse tends to slow the metabolism.
In high school I ate like the stoner that I was and maintained 180-185 lbs (@ 6’1")… then I got a car, and stopped walking/riding bike as much. Then a desk job took over the more physical labors. Then…
Inactivity > metabolism. It can change over time.
its because you are a mammoth human being
about the eating late is a myth…it isnt. your body naturally slows down at night because of how it cycles. your meatbolism goes into a replenish stage where muscles fibers torn, calories burned and nutrients depleted are all balanced back out. most people dont go to bed typically at 3 am. lets say you go to sleep usually (80%) at 11-1130. this means your metabolism is used to starting its cycle at 7. most people bodies start this phase 2.5- 3 hours before their normal sleep time. so if you are eating at midnight, for that to be ok your bedtime would have to be at 3 am typically. if you want i can find the health journal that did a write up of this…it has been in a few text books i have seen.
and about the alcohol
carbs 4kcal/gram
protien 4kcal/gram
fat 9kcal/gram
alcohol 7kcal/gram
this means for every gram of each you consume, that is the corresponding value in kilocalories. late night drinking while eating pasta stories make nutritionists cry. metabolism is slow, and you are consuming all those kcals.
this is why i laugh when people drink “low carb” beer. it isnt the carbs you should be worrying about. it is the actual alcohol. drinking 14 low carb beers to get the same buzz as drinking 7 regular good tasting beers is going to provide the same calories. and leave you some money in your wallet to get jims steak out later on lol.
lol joe, you are my hero
awesome Howie, keep it up.
I’m working towards a goal as well, but try doing it while traveling all of the time with the company picking up the tab. Not easy.
pick up an intellbell (powerblock) travel bench. i know a place that can get them
Good luck! I dropped 20 last year for a bet with Jagermeister and kept it off. So I guess I should thank him, so thanks foo!
