played the demo on 360 earlier… and WOW!!!
right off the bat you can tell and feel the game play difference from NHL 07. 08 blows it out of the water. I will def be purchasing this as soon as it comes out.

damn this does look good. i never got used to 07 ( although i didnt own it ) i’ll have to grab a burned copy of this game ASAP

gameplay on the 360 '07 was “meh” to me, so hopefully your right about it being different, definitly will be giving it a shot :tup: looks great

I love NHL 07 and hope NHL 08 just keeps getting better. I didn’t like the sticks at first but once you get used to it, its pretty nice.

Skill Stick sucks if your a n00b your better off with the classic play but once you master it
its like having their goalie have all moving body parts tied up.
they even got the Ted Darling Memorial Press Box up in that bish.
I would probably buy an xbox 360 for this game

I played this demo the other day and I thought it was horrible. It’s hard to control and it feels really cheesy and limp.
2K7 had much better feel and better animation. I’m looking forward to 2K8.
This years game in my opinion is geared more towards the realism of the game. It seems like they’ve made a lot of changes to make it more like actually hockey with the speed of the game, deflections, almost everytime you slash you get a penalty. I actually like this one a lot better. I couldn’t play with the sabres last year w/ the old jerseys lol
