I don’t think they picked up Tellqvist to replace Lalime as much as they need someone to back him up. I don’t want to see Enroth playing his 1st game in the middle of March.

You have two problems with this post. 1. Huet doesn’t play for Washington, he plays for the Blackhawks. 2. Washinton’s backup played in that 5-2 lost because Jose Theodore was a scratch with the flu.

huet is a very solid goaltender. I think montreal f’ed him over when they got price by letting him go on waivers but I was glad he got a starting job after that.

I don’t think they know anything or are hiding anything about Miller’s injury, but it sounds like the kind of thing where he could play as early as next game, or not until April. Sounds like they’re just playing it safe by picking up Tellvquist.
