Tropp was knocked out cold when he was slammed to the ice without a helmet, I think that is what triggered all of this. Devane knew he was much bigger than Tropp and after he beat him, he did that? Total BS. Tropp stepped up to fight a guy bigger than him, Kessel needed to do the same, but instead, he ran like a little girl slashing his way out. He will probably only get a slap on the wrist from Shanahan. He will get something though, because he got a match penalty and Clarkson gets an auto 10 for leaving the bench.

Yes Clarkson did get 10 games. No word on Kessel that fucking bitch until tomorrow I guess.
In other news, Zach Kassian got 8 games for an “accidental” slash that broke Sam Gagner jaw. So far this trade has worked for Buffalo, maybe.

So much stupidity; Tropp fighting, Kessel slashing, Clarkson jumping the bench…ugh. Way to miss 12% of the season because you had to jump the bench in a preseason game between two non-playoff teams. :tup:
Kessel’s hearing has been pushed to 4:45. He will at least get one regular game right Beck? He got a match penalty which goes against regular season, not preseason.
Yeah I figure 2-3 games max for Kessel. Since it’s a phone call it’s definitely less than 5. But #1, he slashed John Scott (who?), #2 It’s Phil Kessel not Pat Kaleta #3 Nobody got hurt
There’s three more preseason games. He’ll be out for all of them. I don’t really see them extending this into the regular season as - 1.) no one was hurt and 2.) he’s not a repeat offender. (They will only be going for the final criteria, which is a deterrent for other players in the future to set precedence.)
I’m just glad I have tickets for the next game against these two.
