You’re right. He likely won’t face the death penalty, even though rape is a capital offense in NYS.
I simply reason that if others have come before him and faced death for a rape conviction, he should face nothing less considering the greater severity of his crime due to him being a police officer.
first of all there is a moratorium on executions in NYS, secondly cops look out for each other even if the one going down is a huge cocksucker. (especially since his dad has some pull)
In the military, if you rape a woman, even off duty, the sentence is death by firing squad. Why should the military be held to a higher standard, than those that walk around with guns and a badge with more authority than the military.
