Thats kinda what I was goin for :lol

I’ll post the other pics I took with my floor mates later, we took a ton of random pics haha

yo you 21?

Noooooo

But I can pretend to be haha

Did an oil change, spark plugs, and air filter this weekend. Air filter was pretty dirty though, so I decided to look into the K&N filter for my airbox, which was $60. Saw that a piece of aluminum and a cone filter cost $55. Dremeled some holes in the aluminum and threw this together:

Sounds mean right before VTEC kicks in…at which point it becomes extremely loud :lol

STUNTER

Your fuel trims are now going to be TWEAKED

+1 for ricer sounding intake and +1 for shitty gas mileage

Gas mileage has gone up 4 MPGs city and 8 highway. Maybe my old air filter was just THAT dirty, but its an improvement so far.
And I’ll have to do a video of it, it doesn’t sound ricey at ALL. Makes a very deep pitched sound.

Nick, there is a problem if you legitimately gained that much from replacing the air filter. :rofl

wtf? windshield/turn signals? :rofl :rofl :rofl

Oh hay guys, on my way home tonight I hit a pothole. Naturally I decided to paint my calipers.

NOPE.

Its proven that EFI cars of today do not benefit from air filter changes. Dirty to clean, and VERY little from low flowing to high flowing. Mass airflow sensor meters incoming air, ecu adjusts everything under the sun to get a handle on its efficiency. You could quite literally stretch 2 gym socks over your MAF and call that an air filter and it would yield the exact same results your K&N did, performance wise. Your figures say you gained %25 more efficiency! I don’t believe that for one second! Because if that was the case, every car from the factory would be sold with a “K&N” like filter because the proffit from the marketing effects would be through the roof! “don’t buy a camery with 30mpg, they have paper junk air filters… our CL’s get 6MPG’s better because we run “K&N” like filters” :rofl

:lol

Would spark plugs do it? Air filter wasn’t the only thing I changed this weekend.

My car is also rated at 19 city 27 highway. I’d be lucky to see 17 city and 25 highway before.

Do you read things before you shit on them or just take your pants off and let it loose?

You probably are seeing an increase in MPG’s because the car is running lean. The poor MAF is probably maxed out :rofl

a combonation of both, MAYBE. but going from 17 to +2/4 MPG over stock is a stretch for just an air filter change. Also the ratings are usually with a stiff tail wind and over inflated hard ass compound narrow tires to squeek everything they can out of them for numbers sake!

it takes alot to make a big difference in mileage. rolling resistance, rotational mass, wind resistance, dt loss, weight, etc all play a bigger part when a motor is running good to start… performanc mods dont really do much unless they are drastic changes.

good point better take it to Synapse and get it tooned for that K&N mod!

Get myself a CARTOON!!

Pretty sure they can’t tune the J series motors though.

STUNTOON

AWWW SHIT

ROLLIN LIKE A CHOLO

Yeah a lot of Hondas are running around using MAF sensors. Good job internet tuners.

AEM. Wouldn’t work on an auto though
