So I have been in contact with the new owner of the racecar, and will be sending him a set of the original pictures.
I sent him a link to the thread on SON and he had the following to say. He gave me permission to share it with you all.
Here are a couple more pics that I came across last night… You know how those nights can waste away as soon as you dig out the old picture albums/folders that you get the pictures in but are too lazy to put in ablums.
I believe this is the following May 24 weekend at Mosport.
the yellow one never did so great but was FAST up the back strait at mid ohio. HOWEVER the car did make it to the runoffs… so it does say something about it over all.
the s14 was a bullet on the track and would have done well if it were not for problems with the engine.
Those 240s are the same cars, just repainted. Friggen fast too. Just a bit more driver skill and it would have been a real threat to the ever-dominant RealTime TypeR’s piloted by some good drivers, Pierre Kleinubing, Hugh Plumb, and PD Cunningham in the earlier years, before the NSX, but even then he was pulling double duty in both the Speed chalenge Cup and the Speed GT Cup in the first year of the NSX.
