Night Welding School

Okay I have to admit, I work from home and it gets boring as shit real fast.
I need to get out of the house and away from HER for a few hrs a night, without having to drum up an excuse.

I would like to go to welding school, night classes perfered.
Hopefully would like to pursue becoming certified aswell.

Any numbers to call, places to look up?
past experiences?
prices?
Thanks in advance.

what do you do from home? just curious.

its been discussed a few times.

Mostly stuff with music, but I pick up car repair for friends and stuff when I can.
Buy and scrap cars, sell parts a bit of everything.
Never was really into the 9-5 thing.

Thanks for all the links

BOCES classes went up to 650 per class from when I took them, they might be even higher now

So you did attend? What did you think?

Would you consider yourself a leetsauce welder now?

I took welding I and welding II which was basically stick, then mig & tig. I think now the mig and tig classes are seperate. I did not know much about either so the classes were definitely helped me learn the basics. I can weld pretty well with my tig machine, but like anything else the more you practice the better you get.

If your not interested in paying for the classes, educate yourself on miller’s website. They have alot of info there that could get you started.

PM lowlyoilburner he’s an instructor at a welding school.

I know how you feel.

I think I’m either going to look for a second job, just to get out of the house. Or send my wife back to work, and I’ll stay home with the kids.

Welding would be fun, but the last thing I need is another bill.
